Wheeler has finally raised the bar in this series with Poisonwell. While the world-building has been phenomenal, the character development has been lacking. I don’t know if it’s because I’m just used to the series, but I finally feel like the character development has advanced. Some parts were rushed, and others were slow, but it was a great read overall. Poisonwell is a satisfying end to the series. I’m looking forward to exploring more of Jeff Wheeler’s work. Four stars.
I reviewed an advance copy for NetGalley.
